Shrek Retold is a multi-creator fan film retelling the story of the 2001 animated film Shrek.
The project contained live-action, animated, and mix-media segments.
A video titled "Shrek 2 Retold" was released as an April Fools' Day joke on 1 April 2019; the video featured the project director discussing the creation of Shrek Retold. Shrekfest 2019 announced plans for an actual Shrek 2 Retold, and an official teaser trailer was revealed in 2021.
