Shotaku Festival is the biggest anime, gaming and Japanese culture event celebrated in Morocco. It has been celebrated annually in the city of Rabat since 2013, except during the covid-19 pandemic lockdowns in 2020 and 2021. In April 2023, it celebrated its 9th edition, lasting two days.
Shotaku also celebrates smaller events through the year, like the Summer edition, with karaoke and voice actor competitions, gaming competitions, cosplay, drawing workshop, both in Rabat and other Moroccan cities like Casablanca.
