There are a lot of HIV/AIDs scare fics out there but this is one of the best ones for me. It does combine the diffuclt subject matter with a rather touching first time story that moves into an established relationship story. The voices are well done as are the reactions of the characters, very believable. It has a happy ending but it goes through a number of hurdles to get there so you feel the happy ending is deserved. It's a longer fic but well worth the read. [1]
This story manages to do two things it combines a HIV/AIDs scare story with a first time story. Whilst I can be sceptical about tackling the whole HIV/AIDs thing this story somehow doesn't trivialise it and it somehow adds something to the first time aspect too. It has a happy conclusion but it also tackles struggles and doubts that Fraser and Ray have to go through in order to ultimately get that happy ending. [2]
