Shizuka Shines is a Jim/Blair story by Polly Bywater.
It was originally written for a Sentinel Thursday prompt that she expanded over time.
Summary
Seven years after Blair has become a cop, he and Jim close a particularly tough case, in which Blair saves Jim from getting shot. Jim is overwhelmed with happiness and grateful for having Blair as a partner and gives him a hug. Blair, thinking that he sees love in Jim's eyes, kisses Jim, who pushes him away, horrified. For two weeks, Jim does everything he can to avoid Blair, including going to see Carolyn in San Francisco for help in understanding what happened. Blair decides there's no hope to salvage anything and decides to disappear, just as Jim has realized that the best thing to do is to talk to Blair and straighten things out. [1]

Blair kisses Jim, who is horrified and avoids Blair. Blair leaves. Jim goes to visit Carolyn, who confronts him about his homophobia and helps him figure things out. Unlike many TS stories, this has a nice Carolyn, Naomi *and* William. Enjoy! [2]
