Shameless is a British adult comedy-drama series set in Manchester on the fictional Chatsworth council estate. The American Showtime channel created the US version, Shameless in 2011 to the present.
Fandom
The UK's Shameless is fairly small fandom, especially compared with the US version. The fandom is mainly concentrated at LiveJournal, although the fandom there seems to have died down, and FanFiction.net[1]. Fandom moving to Archive of Our Own seems to be quite slow[2]. Fanworks are still being posted yearly since the show ended in 2013.
For many James McAvoy fans, Shameless was their first introduction to the actor who went on to star in the new X-Men: First Class film in 2011 as Professor Charles Xavier.
