A shadowcast is a fan activity most prevalent in cult following fandoms such as Rocky Horror Picture Show. Shadowcasts expand upon audience participation and cosplay, instead involving larger-scale reenactments with props and acting.[1] The term shadowcast can refer specifically to a group of fans who perform shadowcasting acts, the first of which was The Rocky Horror Revue in 1977.
