Sexypedia is a wiki documenting "fandom sexymen", a concept that originated from the Tumblr Sexyman archetype. The wiki's guidelines define a fandom sexyman as follows:
A fictional character whose fandom (or a portion thereof) agrees is romantically/sexually attractive, as well as expressing said attraction in specific ways (detailed below)[2]
The wiki uses SCP Foundation object classes to categorise sexymen, with "Apollyon" representing the most popular or infamous sexymen and "Neutralized" representing the least (those that meet the basic requirements, but lack a dedicated fandom).
Sexypedia was originally hosted on Fandom.com, before its abrupt closure by the service due to purported policy violations in late October 2024. It was subsequently remade on Miraheze.
History
The founder of Sexypedia originally ran a Tumblr called sicklywhitedudes, which was dedicated to discussing Tumblr Sexymen. On April 24, 2020, they published a Google Doc entitled 'sexypedia', which was a "masterlist" of Tumblr Sexymen.
On May 26, 2020, the blog owner posted, "#hey guys. the real wiki is going live later today" in the tags of a reblog.[3]
The wiki was originally set up at the URL https://tumblrsexymen.fandom.com/. A summary on the homepage shortly after the wiki was created read:
Sexypedia is a crowdsourced project attempting to document, categorize, and explain characters that fall into the archetype of “tumblr sexyman”.
"Cringe" is dead here. This wiki comes from a community that loves these characters and has been in many of their fanbases. We study this phenomenon because it's fun, to relive and share our experiences as people having fun on the internet. It's okay to be a fan of these characters! The reason they're on this wiki is because they have some special something that makes them incredibly likable, and we're trying to figure out what that is. Don't ever let anyone make you feel bad about yourself for something harmless. (actual harmful stuff does not count!! some things like poor representation and underaged characters are documented here, but we don’t condone or support anything like that.[4])
Closure by Fandom.com and Revival
On October 25 2024, Fandom.com closed Sexypedia "without giving ... any warning or reason", according to an announcement by one of the admins on the Sexycord Discord.[5] On October 26, wiki owner dognightmare4 posted to Tumblr:
On October 30, dognightmare4 shared a timeline of events from the past several days, revealing that the origin of the ban was thought to be a YouTube video by Trig Jegman entitled, 'Hey Fandom, What Are You Hosting, Anyway?'[7] Sexypedia was featured as an example of a wiki with "sexual content", and fans assumed that Jegman had reported the wiki, as he had repeatedly done with other wikis he found to be offensive. Jegman later denied reporting Sexypedia, saying that Fandom.com must have taken it down themselves.[8]
Wiki admin Tutamen, aka WasoLaso, reached out to Fandom.com on October 25 to object to the ban and try to clarify the situation; dognightmare4 sent an additional ticket on October 30. A member of Fandom.com's Community Team responded to the latter saying that the wiki "did not meet our Terms of Use and Community Creation Policy".[6]
On October 31, an editor of Sillypedia, Sexypedia's sibling wiki, shared an update on the events and revealed that both wikis would be moving to Miraheze.[9] dognightmare4 shared in Sexycord on November 11 that the new wiki had been approved by Miraheze.[10]
A vote was held among the Sexycord community to decide who would be the first character to receive a page on the new wiki. The Once-ler was the winner.[11]

The entire manosphere/alpha male/dating game/incel philosophy falls apart when you consider the existence of Tumblr Sexymen and the entire Sexypedia.
You will understand female sexuality and preference after spending an entire day on that wiki much more than paying Andrew Tate.[12]

It hasnt been maintained for years now, there are like 2 thousand characters on it and only 10 percent are actually tumblr sexymen. Like, they have gojo and solid snake on there they do Not qualify!!!!!![14]
