STARSdidathing is a frostiron fan writer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom from Australia. She joined AO3 on September 9, 2015, and posted three fics on the same day. As of August 30, 2020, STARS had written 387 fics for said ship and received 108 gifts from her friends and fans.[1]

On October 19, 2020, STARS posted her 400th frostiron fic on the AO3, Head Over Heels,[fics 1] and her 500th fic, Mistakes Happen, followed on January 11, 2022.[fics 2]

During her long career as a fan writer, STARS has covered an enormous amount of tropes and genres and has also inspired countless fanworks.

Impending Retreat From Active Fandom

STARS announced her impending retreat from actively participating in fandom on January 30, 2023, in the endnotes of Do You Wanna Rule The World?:

I wanted to let all my lovely, wonderful and faithful readers know this in advance; my 600th fic will be my last. I love these boys, I love all of you and your amazing comments, but I've been writing them a long time and for the last year I've been trying to get through all my old ideas. And, I have.

I'm penning the last nine at the moment and when I'm finished, I'm going to step back. It has been a wonderful ride full of amazing friendship, fabulous ideas, great conversations and so much love for Loki and Tony.

But, I have other things I want to turn my attention to now. 600 seems a nice round number to wrap it up on. And, based off the number of stories left, at one every 4 days, you'll have fics posting until probably April.

I hope you will enjoy the last works I have for these boys. Maybe, at some point in the future, I might post a sporadic fic, but I make no promises. These boys will always have a piece of my heart, but it's time for Stars to do her last things.

Thank you all for your time, comments, kudos and commitment to my works. I know I'll feel strange no longer writing or posting, I know I'll miss it, but it's been seven years of FI. It's time for me to focus on something new. 😊💗 [fics 3]

On December 25, 2023, STARS' wrote in the notes of her fic Follow Me (I Will Follow You)[fics 4]

Now, I have some good news! You have a long fic from me! Hooray! And I really hope you like it 😊

But on a slightly-not-so-good-news note, this is my second last Frostiron story. 😢 Yes, I'm afraid the time is fast approaching for my final fic! My aim is to post it on the 30th of December in preparation for wrapping everything (comment replies, etc) up by the 31st/end of the year.

So, this is some advanced warning about that. I'll be sure to gush more about FI in the notes of that fic, so I'll leave that until then.

For now, enjoy this fic! The formatting in it is a bit... unusual, but I needed a distinction between the present and the past. I hope it will still read okay!

On a more personal note, I just want to say that the amount of comments, support, understanding and well wishes from everyone has been incredibly humbling. I've been incredibly lucky to have so many wonderful years with you all and I just want to thank you again. You've had me smiling so widely and feeling utterly flattered.
