Roy Mustang/Maes Hughes, sometimes known by the ship names RoyMaes or HyuRoi is the slash ship between Maes Hughes and Roy Mustang in the fandom Fullmetal Alchemist.
Canon
Roy and Maes met as cadets at the military academy. After the horrors they suffered and atrocities they committed during the Ishvalan War, Roy vowed to climb to the top and change the country for the better, and Maes promised to support him. During canon, Hughes' investigations to aid the Elrics lead to him uncovering the nation-wide transmutation circle, and the homunculi assassinate him before he can share this discovery. Roy vows to avenge his death.

The ship name "hyuroi" is a transliteration of ヒューロイ, the Japanese portmanteau of their names. The ship was far more popular among fans of the 2003 anime than fans of the manga and Brotherhood. The ship is sometimes seen as part of moresomes, particularly Gracia/Roy/Maes.
