Roswell Online was a Yahoo group that hit peak activity during 2002 and had 1,929 members as of 2019. The group became overrun with spam by 2009, however it had very little activity by 2004, when the signal to noise ratio diminished.
Set up to be a general discussion board, some of the early posts were about episode developments. However, as time went on the majority had to do with just finding access to the content. Many people were buying or sharing taped copies of the series, or offering locations where episodes could be downloaded. Some of this was due to international fans who had no local access.
Other posts involved fans selling one another merchandise, and there was also occasional discussion of other shows and promotion of other groups, perhaps due to moderator absence.

I don't know what yahoo will do when it moves this club over to groups. I don't have a clue if yahoo knows the founder is missing in action. I do know that some ppl are emailing yahoo to complain about Dawson. I don't have a problem moving over to groups. It depends on what everybody wants to do.

Yeah, i heard max is going to die. What is happening to roswell!? I still love the show but jeeze this is crazy! (im not new i just never posted but like 5 times along time ago..lol)

I have just about finished the third series. I think the whole concept was/is very kewl and beautifully acted out. What sets this apart for me is that almost all the actors (with the exception of Brodey) are compelling, and how they grow together over the years is shown with care, humor and sensitivity. At the heart of it for me is Liz and Max. As for a fourth season, it would be difficult to know where to take it and all the main actors have moved on: so it would either have to be reconceptualised I guess: a, movie might be good, picking up sometime after the graduation 2002. Just my penny worth!!
