Slash novels were few this year, but I'd like to nominate Requium by Bette Bourgeois as the best completed HL slash novel. It involves archaeology, the mysterious death of an immortal and the development of a menage a trois between Mac, Methos and a very well developed OMC. Bette Bourgeois writes realistically about the modern gay world and gay relationships. I also particularly liked the way she portrayed Methos. Her Duncan MacLeod is the usual one who needs to overcome homophobia, but she is very good at showing this process.[1]
