Reactions and Reviews: Issue 1

Poetry and various stories, Classic, 3rd and 4th season, introducing many new characters... In "The Dresser" by Mollard, Catherine acquires an old chest of drawers with love letters in it. In stories set in the 4th season, the focus is on either Jacob or Carol, a returning tunnel dweller who loved Vincent in childhood; Diana is a background presence. The apostrophe in the title is a possessive, not a plural. Had many nominations for Crystalline Rose Award 1991, and won for poetry (for Joan and Keith Ahlstrom's "Frost"). [1]

Reactions and Reviews: Issue 2

Classic, some 3rd season elements. In "Shall We Dance" by Joan Ahlstrom, Vincent is overwhelmed by jealousy upon seeing Catherine dancing in Mouse's arms. In "Memories" by Judi Mollard, we discover Catherine's dresser has a special meaning for a tunnel dweller. The 3rd season elements consist of several poems focused on Gabriel and a love letter from a surviving Elliot to Catherine (whom he believes dead), all by Keith Ahlstrom. Diana does not appear. ... "Spring Fever" by Ann R. Brown is an account of hijinks by one of the tunnel children. Wayne Kelley's "In the Watches of the Night" spins off from the end of "The Watcher;" it's also the first chapter of his planned novel, Give All to Love. Classic zine. [3]
