Rachel/Chloe, also known as Amberprice, is a femslash pairing in the Life is Strange fandom between Rachel Amber and Chloe Price.
Canon
Rachel and Chloe are close friends who dream of leaving their hometown, Arcadia Bay, to start a new life with each other in Los Angeles. Rachel’s mysterious disappearance is the central mystery of the main game. Chloe is devastated by Rachel’s disappearance, and also more or less admits to having a crush on her if asked. Prequel game Before the Storm focuses on the start of Rachel and Chloe’s friendship and gives the player the chance to start a romance between them.

Amberprice shipping rose to prominence after the release of Before the Storm.
Pre- and post-Before the Storm fics tend to have different takes on Rachel’s character. The original game focuses on deconstructing the way Rachel was idolised by many people in Arcadia Bay, including Chloe. It implies that she was dating at least one other person aside from Chloe, and that her relationship with Chloe was only ambiguously or experimentally romantic at best. As such, older fics will often focus on Chloe getting over Rachel, or on their relationship being toxic for Chloe or for both of them. However, Before the Storm paints their relationship in a much better light, and their romance struck a chord with many players. This created a vast increase in fics that depict their relationship as ultimately being healthy and romantic for the both of them, and many fics that focus on Rachel’s flaws will depict her actively working to overcome them.
