Quirked Connections is an 18+ fanfiction anthology featuring a variety of pairings from Boku no Hero Academia. While the zine had a primary focus on fanfiction, some of the stories were accompanied with illustrations.
About
Interest Checks through a Google Form ran from April 4 to May 21, 2020. Mod applications ran from April 14, 2020 to April 28, 2020. Contributor applications ran from May 11, 2020 to June 8, 2020. During creation period and preorder period, the social media account ran regular contributor spotlight posts and anagram puzzles to maintain interest and engagement.
Preorders ran from September 18, 2020 to October 23, 2020 for $15. [1] Stretch goals included additional stories by Aria and DarklingMoon at 30 copies, Bakunonist and Sacramental Wine at 40 copies, and Kacchansass and Aravis at 50 copies. A giveaway for a free copy ran from September 26, 2020 to October 11, 2020. Twitter users akita-writes and phomochi were annouced as winners on October 14, 2020. [2]
Digital copies reopened on November 27, 2020 before leftovers opened on December 7, 2020 to sell off remaining copies as well as B-grade copies. [3] The project was announced complete on December 18, 2020 when leftover sales closed.
