Queen is an English rock band founded in 1970.
It was unusual for its time in that lead Freddie Mercury was flamboyantly queer in his onstage persona.
Among their best-known songs are "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You"/"We Are The Champions," "Another One Bites The Dust," "Radio Ga Ga" and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."
In 2018, a movie called "Bohemian Rhapsody" was released, directed by Bryan Singer and starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury. The film won five Oscars including Best Actor for Malek and was nominated for Best Picture. The success of the movie brought a resurgence of interest in Queen and their music.

Fansites
- QueenOnline, the official website for the band, has a Fanfiction thread on its forums, but disallows slash and adult content (One forum moderator wrote: "We were in the process of trying to get official approval to allow fan fiction on this site when it was discovered just how 'adult' some of the stuff being posted [on the forum] was. This was seen by Queen's management and disgusted them and as a result, anything of that nature was removed and permission denied for a fan fiction section. Fan fiction as such should therefore NOT have any adult references in it whatsoever if posted on this site." [1])
