Preacher is a DC Comics title, that was developed into a live-action television series for AMC.

Both the comic book and TV series, follow the titular Preacher Jesse Custer who comes into possession of a supernatural power, Genesis. Jesse's gift makes him a target for attack by various forces that seek Genesis for themselves. He is often aided by his ex-girlfriend Tulip O'Hare and his vampire friend Proinsias Cassidy, who both accompany Jesse in his cross country roadtrip to find God.

The non-canon slash pairing of Cassidy/Jesse is very popular, but many fans prefer the canon het pairings of Jesse/Tulip or Cassidy/Tulip. There are also many fans of the poly pairing Cassidy/Jesse/Tulip, who refer to this ship as The Unholy Trinity. This may cause some confusion as this ship name has also been applied to OT3s in the Forever Knight and Glee fandoms.

Less popular pairings include DeBlanc/Fiore, Cassidy/Fiore and Cassidy/Eccarius.
