Potterotica is a one-character musical "that tells the story of one woman’s journey toward sexual freedom, working through her sexual abuse history through the literature of Harry Potter."[1]
The musical is based on the poetry of Brenna Twohy, with music by Max Silverman, and lyrics and book by Ellington Berg. The show was first performed by Hannah Cohen for audiences at Rider University. It was performed by Emily Briggs on three dates in June 2016 for the Manhattan Repertory Summer One Act Festival.[2] On Kickstarter, 19 backers pledged $1,030 to support the show's production at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre, successfully meeting their goal.
While the musical is not preserved online in its entirety, there is a video of one song, Cut to Pieces performed by Jessica Phipps, which was posted on the Youtube channel of Ellington Berg.
