Pocahontas is a 1995 Disney film based off the real historic Native American woman known as Pocahontas. In 1998, a direct-to-video sequel came out, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World.
Canon
The first animated Disney film to be based on a real historic character. The film focused on Pocahontas, and features a fictionalized account of her encounter with Englishman John Smith and the settlers that arrived from the Virginia Company.
The sequel focuses on Pocahontas's journey to London with John Rolfe to negotiate for peace between the two nations.
Fandom
