Pistolverse (피스톨버스) is a trope in South Korean fandoms created by 보쌈 (transl. Bossam, username qsxdrew123) in 2017. A same-titled verse was already mentioned in an earlier 2014 anonymous source, but no information on it was provided.

Basic elements

• Pistols amount to about 20% of the entire population and are described as corresponding to "a dominant omega with good abilities" in the Omegaverse. They are held in high regard, so although they are fewer, they occupy 80% of the leading positions in society. That is because Pellets absolutely need them to pour their "bullets" into through sex. Pistols can subsequently remove the bullets received by Pellets from their bodies.
  Pregnancy does not occur in Pistolverse, but Pistols have periods named "overcycles" that can be short (every two weeks), long (every six months), or almost non-existent. Overcycles are dangerous to Pistols, because if they have sex and receive a bullet during this period, the bullet will reach their stomach, and they will "go over" and die. Outside of overcycles, Pistols will not die no matter how many times they have sex with Pellets. The most advantaged Pistols are the high-ranking ones with long cycles, while the most disgraced are the poor ones with short cycles.

• Pellets amount to about 75% of the total population. Since there are noticeably more Pellets than Pistols, Pellets are always fighting over Pistols or protecting them: many Pellets are dying because of it, but there are so many that the government cannot handle them, so they just leave them alone. Bullets are always piling up in Pellets' bodies at different rates, and they are dangerous enough to threaten their lives: in fact, if Pellets are filled to the brim with bullets, they will die in an instant, and to prevent this, they transfer their bullets to Pistols through sex. However, since the number of Pistols is significantly smaller, the ones in high positions are untouchable, and Pistols that are put up for auction are all sold for high prices, Pistols wandering around the red-light district or the streets are arbitrarily raped by poor Pellets trying not to die.
  Pellets' abilities are diverse, but the dominant ones tend to have stronger abilities. They are not healing or flight abilities, but rather attack-type abilities because they have to protect themselves and their Pistols. If a Pellet is killed in a fight, their Pistol will belong to the Pellet that won the fight, but since Pistols can assert their own freedom and act and have more initiative than Pellets, they may run away.
  Pellets can have sex with other Pellets. However, the bottom Pellet has a very high risk of dying since they are receiving more bullets on top of those that already naturally accumulate in their body.

• The remaining 5% of the total population is made up of Burners. Bullets accumulate in their bodies, but they can eject them themselves. Naturally quiet, gentle, and not inclined to fight, Burners are not particularly important in society: that is why many live alone in the mountains or in remote areas, alienated from mankind and disliking relationships with people. According to history, there used to be about 15% of Burners, but many of them committed suicide because they felt left out. Burners are weaker than Pistols, but stronger than Pellets because they can transfer bullets to Pellets but not to Pistols. On the other hand, Burners will not receive bullets from Pellets if they bottom.
  However, since the bullets in Burners' bodies accumulate more rapidly, they have to frequently remove them from their bodies, and since this act is somewhat painful, some Burners give up and let themselves die. Since the pain is the same regardless of the number of bullets, Burners sometimes store bullets until they almost die and then remove them all at once.

The only way to identify a person's subgender is by looking at the inside of their collarbones, where a letter is written: S stands for Pistol, P stands for Pellet, and B stands for Burner. Thanks to this, Pistols who go to school or work can mostly walk around without worries, and only teachers, bosses, or interviewers know about their subgender since it is written in their resumes. In the past, Pistols were always sent to brothels or killed, but these days they are getting jobs easily; many Pellets have become gentler in nature, unlike the past, when they were violent.

It is said that Pistols rebelled once in the past, but they suffered a miserable defeat. Even these days, small rebellions and coups occur occasionally, but the number of occurrences has decreased significantly as people started living by respecting each other.

Pistols, Pellets, and Burners can tell how many bullets they have accumulated in their bodies. How bullets are exactly transferred from a body to another is still under investigation, and sex is just the most accepted theory. Bullets are made in some part of the body, but where exactly has not been discovered yet: scientists have weekly debates about whether it is the brain or the body's work. Sometimes, Pellets that have been in a big accident do not produce bullets, so scientists have been studying them for a long time, but with little profit since the cases are few and the Pellets to whom it happens tend to hide.
