I was only briefly in the POTC fandom once the first movie came out (so around 03-04) - I shipped W/E, even {briefly?} owning a fansite for them. It's been a very long time since I thought about that, actually. I remember liking the layout but for the life of me I can't remember the name or the address, although I believe it would have been hosted on Geocities as my sites were at the time. I remember how popular Will/Elizabeth, Jack/Elizabeth and Jack/Will was in the beginning, I believe there was even a steady following for Elizabeth/James Norrington. I don't remember much Will/Elizabeth/Jack works, but it could because I wasn't into threesomes then and thus ignored them. The pairing names were not common at the time - we simply used their first names to identify or their initials, so those appeared after I left the fandom.
