perfect_duet is a fannish Dreamwidth and Livejournal community dedicated to the Aubrey-Maturin slash pairing of the main characters from the series of books by author Patrick O'Brian and the film Master and Commander which was based on this series. Since 2011, the main activity has been on Dreamwidth.
As well as space for discussion, PD is a comm where fans can post their own fanworks. While the central focus of the community is on the relationship between Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin, fanworks which do not have this as their central focus may still be posted there.
Until 2019, the community ran an annual Advent Calendar challenge for its members, encouraging the posting of daily fanworks from 1st-24th December each year.
The community's name is in reference to the two characters' musical interest as well as their relationship.
