Follows upon Night of the Twin Moons, in which, apparently, Amanda has acquiesced to the demand of three women in the Penthesilean hierarchy that Sarek attempt to impregnate them. Amanda attempts to get Sarek to speak of it with Spock, in hopes of giving her son some perspective on his own actions in seducing the Romulan Commander during "The Enterprise Incident" - all in the line of duty.
