Patreon is an internet company founded in 2013 by Jack Conte and Sam Yam, who envisioned a subscription service for artists. The service offers the ability for fans to directly support the online creators whose work they enjoy, by pledging a certain amount of money per month or per every piece of content posted. Creators can offer benefits exclusive to Patreon subscribers (known on the site as "patrons"), which often include (but are not limited to) producer credits on the creative work, access to the assets used in the work, bonus features (exclusive videos), works in progress, private chats via Discord or the ability to give prioritized feedback on the work.
Fandom Uses
