Original Sin is an MSR X-Files story by Syntax6.
Synopsis: It’s post Fight the Future, and Scully has moved to Utah. Unfortunately for her, the X-Files followed her there. She must not have noticed that the state emblem is a big old beehive. Poor Scully. When will she learn?

We could go on and on for ages about how much we love Syntax6. We have loved everything written by them that we could get our hands on, and we are 99% sure we have read literally everything they’ve posted online. Syntax6 fanfiction is always worth foregoing weekend plans to binge read. Today’s recommendation was left as a WIP in 2008, but the fandom was lucky enough for the author to come back and finish it in 2013. The story takes place after FTF, where we find that Mulder and Scully have been separated by their superiors. They both attempt to go their separate ways, but, as always, fate steps in and leads them back to each other. [1]
What if Scully DID go to Utah during FTF? This one has some Scully/other but it’s all worth it because there is a pool scene in this that is just - whew![2]
