Ten years previously, a young skater had been seriously injured when he ignored a threat and skated in a top competition. Now skaters are being threatened again...At first sight this could be classified as an AU, but canon gives us very little positive information about Blair's years pre-Rainier. This story gives us a fascinating insight into a perfectly plausible background for him as he and Jim investigate the threats.
Shattered Dreams is the first in a series of four stories which build into a convincing picture of a world where skating meets crime.[1]
