From the editorial:

Well, another newsletter, dosen't [sic] time fly, this one is slightly thinner than our previous ones, again due to lack of support from Our members. I hate to moan all the time but we feel you ought to get value for money and we also feel, (we are ah emotional lot), that if our newsletters are not of reasonable size, it's a waste of time for the people who do contribute if we can only print there [sic] attitudes to Star Trek, we prefer a more wider point of view, from all members, remember, we have one purpose in mind. TO KEEP STAR TREE ALIVE, so sharpen up those pencils and start writing and send your material in.

Before closing this newsletter you may all like to know that I was asked to be a guest on a phone in programme on B.B.C. RADIO BRISTOL, to do with OMICORN and STAR TREK, there was a competition and the star prize for the winner which I helped to judge was a pair of Mr. Spock's ears. I was [in] the Studio for an hour and a half, and never heard the STAR TREK THEME played so much.

The vignette about Uhura:

Dark-haired maiden of the Enterprise, your limpid eyes of reflecting the lights of the computer whose relays respond immediatly [sic] to your deft and dancing fingers, on the control board.

Clad in the official uniform of your craft whose red-hue echoes your ruby lips framing pearly teeth.

What would the dark toned fathers of your African race think of their liberated daughter liberated forever from the racial stigma of slavery and colour, free to take your place amongst the skilled of humankind, white, black and yellow alike?

Trained in mathmactics [sic] with a string of degrees to your name, your high level of intelligence is a definate [sic] asset to the ship and your fluid voice brightens up many a rec-room gathering, singing the songs of your native land.

Dusky wanderer of the stars, sing for me Uhura.
