Olon F. Wiggins was an early science fiction fan best known for editing The Science Fiction Fan. Wiggins was a Michelist, though not a member of the New York-based Futurians. He and Lew Martin won an award at Chicon I for going through the most hardship to get to the convention, after they hopped a freight train and traveled 30 hours by boxcar from Denver. There they successfully pitched Denver as the next site for Worldcon, and in 1941 they hosted Denvention I. Wiggins also co-founded the Colorado Fantasy Society.
In 1938 Wiggins banned Sam Moskowitz from the pages of The Science Fiction Fan for allegedly slandering Donald A. Wollheim during a heated debate. Moskowitz later accused Wollheim of promising Wiggins the FAPA presidency in exchange, which Wollheim insisted was a coincidence that happened some time after Wiggins made the decision to ban Moskowitz on his own.
