- Harcest Controversy: Since they're adopted siblings, the pseudo-incest aspect of the ship is controversial, as with all shipping of the Umbrella Academy kids.
- Underage: Canonically, Five is an 58-year-old man in a 13-year-old's body, due to spending 45 years in a post-apocalypse, whereas Viktor is 30 both in body and mind. There are concerns surrounding the sexualization of the teenage actor, Aidan Gallagher, who plays him. Fanworks regularly use time shenanigans to neutralize this problem, making him and Viktor once again the same age. Jake Gyllenhaal is a popular fan cast for older!Five.
