This Yahoogroup is a friendly bunch of NUMB3RS fans getting together to write, read, and comment on fanfiction for the show. Come join in!
NUMB3RS, now entering its fifth season on CBS, is a crime drama focussing on the unique role that mathematics can play in crime investigation. Rob Morrow plays Don Eppes, an FBI agent working in Los Angeles, California. David Krumholtz plays Don’s brother Charlie Eppes, a professor of applied mathematics at CalSci University. Charlie works closely with his brother and the FBI team to help bring criminals to justice using mathematical principles. The rest of the team includes FBI agents Colby Granger (Dylan Bruno) and David Sinclair (Alimi Ballard), and scientists Amita Ramanujan (Navi Rawat) and Larry Fleinhardt (Peter MacNicol).
Alongside the math, science, and criminal investigations, the show also focusses on the family dynamic, showing the difficulties of two very different adult siblings attempting to understand one another’s worlds, and the strength family members can draw from one another. Alan Eppes (Judd Hirsch), Don and Charlie’s father, provides a stabilizing and unifying element to this family dynamic. It is also a show about friendship, relationships, and the hardships of a demanding work life on one’s social and family situation.
Our group boasts a wide variety of talent for all genres of fanfiction - hurt/comfort, strict case/episodic-style stories, romance, angst, comedy, drama - sometimes a combination of all of the above!
So whether you’re a writer, a reader, or both, please feel free to jump right in.
