"November, 1950" is a short story by Laura Mason based on Mary Renault's 1953 novel The Charioteer. It is set ten years after the end of the story, but in an AU where the events of the final chapter go very differently.
Synopsis
Laurie returns to Bridstow after ten years to find much changed—and memories roused. Memories of the last afternoon that he and Ralph had spent together, and memories of what came later.
