Nothing On is a Jim/Blair story by Speranza.
Reactions and Reviews
I agree with the author's assessment that this is more a PALP (Plot, A Little Plot) than a PWP. Jim and Blair are watching tv, and there's nothing on. Or maybe that's just a convenient excuse to do what they'd both really prefer to be doing...
Why you should read this: I'm pretty fond of most of Francesca's Sentinel stories, and this one is representative of the things I like best about her writing, lovely dialogue being at the top of the list. The quick, clever back-and-forth conversation really does it for me. The wonderful smut is just the icing on the cake. [1]
Everyone recs Francesca's Nature Series, which is great and deserves the recs... but I really loved this story which is NOT part of that series. It's a believable, hot, in character first-time, with the guys really acting like guys, which I always appreciate in a slash story.[2]
God, a lovely character portrait, through the blatant, deft, and thorough use of ridiculously hot sex. Where would we be without people who could do that? [3]
So what happens on a Friday night when there’s nothing on TV and the guys are bored out of their minds? How about a game of cards? No? How about Scrabble? Not that either, huh? How about…
Well, I can’t actually tell you, because it would ruin the effect of some hysterically funny dialogue. I can tell you, though, that this is one of the funniest, sexiest stories I’ve ever read.[4]
