Reactions and Reviews
Amusingly (for me, since I was wondering about putting the same thing in 'Chance of Freedom'), this fic has Blake tell Avon: 'you complete me'. Avon is like - pft, well don't expect the same from me. Actually, thinking about it - I do generally think that Avon is more single-minded in his love for Blake (Blake has other things going on etc etc), but I don't think Blake completes him so much as... makes him re-examine himself. Whereas I do sort of think that Avon completes Blake - there are bits of Blake that are missing, mainly... a brake, but also some other things. Blake needs someone to fight against in order to be Blake - Avon provides that in a safe way because ultimately he doesn't want to destroy Blake, he wants Blake to do what Blake wants to do in a way that is safe and logical. Maybe it seems like Avon wants Blake more, but Blake needs Avon more... I don't know - this is a thought I might return to later. Anyway, this short dialogue is light and fun. The relationship struggle is a little too easy because it's a very short fic, but I wouldn't kick it out of bed.[1]
