From a 1992 ad:

Take Vincent, Catherine, and Diana. Mix all three and stir well for an explosive story! How can Vincent choose between Catherine, the mother of his son, and Diana, the mother of his unborn daughter? What must he first learn about his own birth? How can the two women cooperated to save Vincent's sanity and life?

Reactions and Reviews

In this interesting 4th season SND novel, Twain's first zine writing, C's back from the Witness Protection program and hopping mad that V/D are not only lovers but D is pregnant and they're engaged to be married! V is naturally torn between his two loves. The resolution of this dilemma will probably come as a surprise to most readers. There are also unexpected developments concerning the bond and revelations about Vincent's origins, as benevolent beings from another dimension/mode of existence try to contact V through the a threshold in the Trilogy cave (damaged by Paracelsus, a menacing presence in the several flashback sections). The novel takes a sharp turn into science-fiction at the end, during a particularly poignant concluding section. The storytelling is a little ragged and uneven, but this is offset by vivid prose style, excellent characterizations, dead-on dialogue, and bounding energy. Although there's occasional sex, it's not graphic. The non-3rd-season-allergic will find this delightful reading, with much to enjoy and reflect on. [1]
