The RarePair Challenge 2023, ran by the r/NarutoFanfiction discord server, was an event where writers were invited to create a work for any Naruto pairing which did not yet have a story tagged on AO3. Those who completed it had their stories added to the official AO3 collection and were also awarded a vanity role on the discord server if they wanted it. The event may run again in future years.
The /r/NarutoFanfiction discord server is hosting a challenge for members: to write a story for a pairing that currently doesn't exist on AO3. It's a fun way to write something new, challenge yourself a bit, and find some interesting character combinations you might not have thought of otherwise.
There were 11 works submitted, including one Naruto/Calvin and Hobbes crossover story.
