My most life’s most embarrassing moment happened in junior high school when I had an unexpected menstrual period. Not being regular thoroughly sucked, especially at that age. Anyway, whenever I see the trail of damsels in distress that are “protected” at the loft in TS, it always makes me wonder if those guys keep a supply of feminine products on hand. The episode “Sleeping Beauty” was particularly noteworthy, especially when Blair mentions that Stacy’s coma has caused her to miss out on all sort of “rites of passage”. So, I couldn’t resist having the guys deal with it. Granted, the story is nothing special, but I did once get an email from a reader who said she could really relate to it, considering her ultra-tough military father had to once make the same “midnight run” that Jim did.

I also remember a comment on a list within a couple of weeks after the story was posted. Someone was complaining that they liked to read stories that were escapism from real life, not depicting real life. She specifically mentioned “periods” as an example of real life, so I guess she’d read this story and wasn’t impressed by the subject matter. ;->
