First appearing in episode 12 of Critical Role Campaign 2, The Meta Gaming Pigeon is a concept created by Sam Riegel to dress up metagaming comments made by the cast. The concept quickly became popular with the fans. Some of them started joking that Matt Mercer introduced Kiri as his own metagaming pigeon.
