Excerpts
Q: What made you start writing stories? Had you written fic in other fandoms?
A: I'd always wanted to write, but got discouraged by my high school English teacher, who wasn't a fan of action/adventure or science fiction, which was what I read a lot back then, and really wanted to write. I just put it in the back of my mind, and got on with RL. When I was in my forties, I discovered on-line fan fiction, and suddenly thought, "OMG - if these people can all write, why can't I?
I started off writing a few things in Stargate SG-1, but then I discovered Starsky and Hutch and found my niche.
Q: What was your first story? Do you still like it?
A: My first S&H story was called Pieces of Silver - it's a character study of Vanessa. I'm surprised at how well it holds up, though there's some flashy effects in it I probably wouldn't use today.
