Mark Thrasher was a science fiction fan and artist who created art and maps, some for the zine Pellennorath. Mark passed away in June 2011.

art by Mark: "The yellowed Utopia map is a fragment of a grand hand-drawn map that had all the mythical places Mark loved. In time he pared it down to a few pieces like this and put them in his notebooks." [2]
art by Mark: "Mark was fascinated by the Battle of Cahuenga: the Campo de Cahuenga "The Birthplace of California" is in our childhood neighborhood of North Hollywood. Mark was tickled by the fact that, although California looms large in the world, almost no one knows the absurd comedy surrounding its birth. Here's Mark's lovingly drawn map, this time of a real place, the broad sagebrush country of Old California. It compliments and completes the fantasy maps, because it stood with mythic grandeur in his stately imagination." [3]
