They have over 4,000 works on Ao3.[1] They're childhood friends and a classic example of a Friends to Lovers ship and have gained popularity due to Haru and Makoto's close relationship in canon.
There has been a bit of controversy concerning this ship over the perceived co-dependancy between them.
There was a small ship war between MakoHaru and RinHaru, another Haru ship.
