Make Your Own Multh was an 8-page booklet by Beth Hallam included in the zine The Gropes of Roth.
It is a short how-to satirical fanwork about how to make a Klingon alcoholic drink.
One of the parts of the illo page includes a "Vulcan idol with rude parts missing, guardian spirit and book end. Drawing specially commissioned from artist A. Looker.)"
From the booklet:
It is a well-known fact that the subject beings of the Klingon Empire are hedonistic pleasure-seekers. One has only to think of the Empire to conjure up an image of the happy smiling faces of hundreds of Klingons enjoying a "drunk-fiest", or of the contented peons toiling in the fields allowing their catchy, rhythmic worksongs to set the speed of their labours. What a delightful picture it paints. We may wonder what it is that gives the Klingons their joie de vivre, their zest for life. Does the answer lie in the climatic condition of their home planets? Hardly, for apart from their penal colony, Obskotch, all the Klingon subject planets are only minimally habitable. Is it the feeling of security engendered by a stable, oppressive, militaristic, colonial government? Perhaps, but, as a long-time student of Klingon life styles, I believe the answer lies in MULTH!
