This is set in the AR presented in the SG-1 episode The Road Not Taken, a dark bizarro universe that's vaguely 1984ish. Sam from our universe stumbles into this world, inadvertantly killing her AR counterpart, who was the ex-wife of AR Rodney, who's a billionaire computer genius and incidentally wears glasses. This fic gives us a wonderful AR John, who has the most amazingly apt profession, considering he canonically uses phrases like "flatware" and has the gayest sparkly curtains in his room ever. [1]
