As depicted by the "Hi, I'm a Mac / And I'm a PC" television advertisements by Apple, many fans see the characters as an OTP. The Livejournal community Mac_Hearts_PC has a good selection of both general fannish squee, and slash fan fiction, presenting the two characters as human, as computers, and as combinations of both. Occasionally, browser characters -- mainly Firefox, IE and Safari -- also appear. Some of the stories are not crackfic. Can be a form of anthropomorfic.
