Excerpts
What about Wintershock as a pairing appeals to you?
I’ve always been interested in how many (if not most) of the Avengers seem to be struggling with their mental health, and I think it’s important to explore how people can address those issues. Bucky’s kind of the ultimate example of that for me– a man who has been through so much, but who with a little help has so much to offer. I like Darcy as a partner for him because she comes with a little bit less ‘baggage’ than the rest of the MCU, and has an irreverent and direct way of dealing with problems that I find refreshing and entering.
What kind of Wintershock story would you love to read that hasn’t been written yet by you or others?
When I think about it, I want to read more no-powers AUs. It’s easy to think people should be accommodating to each other when one of them has been a prisoner of war, but do we give those allowances to ourselves for our seemingly less important injuries and tragedies?
