Excerpts

What about Wintershock as a pairing appeals to you?

There are so many things that I love about Wintershock. I love the characters separately, and putting them together is just amazing. I feel like Bucky was a fun guy to be around when he was young, and I really like the idea of Bucky and Darcy bringing the best out in each other. I think they would compliment each other when it comes to charm, wit, and general showboatiness. Physically, these are two very attractive people. I love Darcy’s curves, and I think Bucky comes from a time where they were more widely appreciated.

Do you associate any particular songs with Wintershock? If so, which one?

Way too many to list. I make playlists for everything I write. Song after song after song sounds right to me. Listening to the radio is dangerous, it never fails that I realize THIS song is THE song. I can make anything fit. Sara Bareilles’ Gravity inspired the first fic I posted, Here I Am, And I Stand. Right now I’m listening to Wake Me by Bleachers, Vertigo by Anya Marina, and a lot of Matthew Mayfield and The National.

What kind of Wintershock story would you love to read that hasn’t been written yet by you or others?

Darcyland writers are so creative I’m not sure there’s much that hasn’t been covered yet. I mean, of course there is, and it’s gonna be great the second someone posts it, just like the Western AUs, Breakfast Club AU, Soap AUs and everything else that people post and it’s like hot damn! I’m always scrolling along and then there it is on my dash, something I didn’t even know I needed. Wait, has someone written the gangster au yet? That post went around on Tumblr, and I need that to happen.
