What about Wintershock as a pairing appeals to you?
I think what really appealed to me was how natural the pairing felt. Bucky and Darcy’s characters are very complementary to each other, balance each other out. I also really love how at the crux of it, wintershock is a gentle ship. There’s a sense of loveliness to it that I never quite felt in any other darcyland pairing.
How did you first encounter the pairing?
Honestly I can’t remember just how I came across it…I remember sometime in early June 2016 I started wanting to read Darcy fics again (I’d left darcyland for 3 years), but didn’t want to ship her with my previous Darcy ship. I think it was random chance on Ao3 honestly! And the first fic I read left a positive impression, and latessitrice was totally enabling me so I asked her if she had any fic recommendations. The rest is history. (Mod note: I REGRET NOTHING)
What kind of Wintershock story would you love to read that hasn’t been written yet by you or others?
I would love to read a medieval AU of wintershock! Extra kudos if you add a magic aspect to it. *sighs*
