Lupe García/Jess McCready is a pairing in A League of Their Own fandom. The pair are close friends, bonding shortly after making the team together, and some fans were hopeful that a relationship between the two might develop in Season 2.
Canon
Lupe Garcia is the Peaches' pitcher and Jess McCready is the shortstop. They quickly become close friends, and, while the viewer doesn't see the depth of their friendship throughout the episodes, the audience later learn that Jess and Lupe have been going to gay bars together. It is theorised that Jess clocked that Lupe was a lesbian first, based on a scene where she used gay slang from the era, which seemed to go over Lupe's head.
