Love and War: A LuZeni Zine is a non-profit charity zine centered around the relationship between Lupin III and Koichi Zenigata from Lupin the Third.

The exact date of when any interest checks or contributor applications began are unavailable. Contributor applications ended on January 25, 2021, on which the project's social media account reported up to around 100 applications submitted [2]. Acceptance letters were sent out shortly on January 27, 2021, although the team faced technical issues when the email used for sending out the letters was mistaken by Yahoo for spam [3]. The team then created a new email to continue sending and accepting correspondence [4].

Zine production was announced to be starting June 10, 2022, with an expected summer release [5]. Production of merch started even earlier on May 3, 2022 [6].

The project's storefront opened on July 24, 2022 with the following pricing tiers [7]. Buyers could purchase different parts the zine project as a bundle or as individual pieces of merch. The pricing tiers were as follows:

  • B-Grade Physical Zine ($10 USD)
  • Digital Zine ($15 USD)
  • Gold Foil Print ($10 USD)
  • Sticker Sheets ($10 USD)
  • Acrylic Keychan ($12 USD)
  • Enamel Pin ($20 USD)
  • Acrylic Standee ($12 USD)
  • Full Bundle ($69 USD) - Physical Zine, Gold Foil Print, Sticker Sheets, Acrylic Standee, Double-sided Keychain, Enamel Pin
  • 2nd Base Bundle ($90 USD) - Physical Zine, Gold Foil Print, Sticker Sheets, Acrylic Standee, Double-sided Keychain, Enamel Pin, AmazukiDesu Standee
  • Amazukidesu Standee ($10 USD)

The 2nd Base Bundle and the Amazukidesu Standee were released later for preorders on July 30, 2022[8].

Orders began being shipped on July 29, 2022 [9] and continued to be shipped in multiple waves with close updates on the project's social media account. Leftover sales ran from October 17, 2022 to October 24, 2022.

The project reported on October 29, 2022 that they raised $2,891.55 USD for the Black and Pink National charity [10].
