Mostly h/c with some action/adventure. Mysteriously released from months of Romulan torture and believed by all to be a traitor, James T. Kirk is being sent back to Earth for a court-martial. But when the Enterprise turns out to be the only ship about for the job, Jim gets to see how deeply his crew’s trust runs, and with the help of his two best friends, a broken hero slowly heals and finds his spirit again. One of the most thrilling, moving and outstanding Trek fics I’ve read. The final confrontation is a true moment of anthology. [1]
