Lonely is the Night is a Miami Vice vid by Linda Brandt.

From Textual Poachers:

L.B.'s "Lonely Is the Night," for example, represents a crisis in the partnership between Crockett and Tubbs. Unlike the program's linkage of consumption and male potency, the video focuses on issues of intimacy and trust, the pressures that push the two men apart and the feelings that draw them together. Crockett sends Tubbs away ("Really thought that I could live without you, Really thought I could make it on my own"), yet spends much of the video in lonely and silent suffering, walking along the beach, fishing from his boat. Air Supply's lyrics, while specifically addressing heterosexual romance, confess Crockett's needs for male companionship ("Now I'm so lost without you"). Tubbs' absence has forced Crockett to rethink his feelings. While the character expresses a desire for reconciliation, the video ends with him still very much alone, walking the streets, searching for his lost friend.
