This had been sitting in the computer forever, and I didn’t think it would ever be published, because it never had enough going for it. Then I decided I could create a new byline, join the “Sentinel Angst” list, and I had this as my first Dues story. I think it does very well, considering what little bit is there. It was a pleasant surprise to get so many comments on it. I do love the idea of Jim having once smoked. And him having once delivered a baby seems rather reasonable.[1]
